Alohahola began with a feeling, not just a concept.
Alohahola began with a trip to Hawaii that changed everything. Our founder, Yang, fell in love with the island spirit after just one visit, leading him to return again and again to explore local neighborhoods and eat his way through hidden roadside stands.
He realized it wasn’t just about the food—it was about the genuine sense of Ohana, where a simple meal makes everyone feel like family.
With years of kitchen experience, Yang wanted to bring that same unpretentious soul back home to Virginia. Alohahola is our modern take on the Hawaiian plate lunch, built to be both comforting and exciting. Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, you’re always part of our Ohana.

We had such a great experience at Aloha Hoja in Norfolk! 🌺 It just opened, and we were so excited to check it out. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, the staff was incredibly friendly, and everything we tried was delicious and fresh. You can tell a lot of care has gone into creating this place. Such a great new addition to Norfolk! We’ll definitely be back and can’t wait to try more of the menu. If you haven’t checked them out yet, definitely give them a try! 🌴🤙

The food was honestly really tasty. It was warm and they also brough the food to your table. The service is really nice, and all the workers here have really good hospitality! Also, its super clean and the lighting is comfortable and fitting.

1st time here and the atmosphere is nice and very clean with plenty of seating. The staff is nice and friendly. The drink is soo good. I got the pina berry tea.The food is definitely worth the time. I got the beef short ribs n chicken plate and it was fawsome. Will be back.
